ZICO pronounced Zy-co, was founded by Mark Rampolla, who feel in love with coconut water as a Peace Corps volunteer in Central America. He was an avid coconut drinker after doing activities like running, hiking, and just relaxing on the beach. In 2004 he left his company to pursue a dream of bringing a healthy beverage to the world. The ZICO Company also believes that this coconut water can become an important alternative agricultural product for the developing world.

Clothing Brand - Crooks and Castles

Crooks and Castle is a clothing brand that is known buy few but not by many. Line is based out of Los Angeles, California, where the creators were brought up in the 90's battle of street lifestyle vs. street-smart lifestyle. There clothing line was based on the concept of  “Crooks”, criminals, pimps, hustlers, thieves, etc. And “Castles” those who got rich by becoming a crook. From the robber barons of the early times like the Vanderbilt's, the Rockerfellers', the Carnegie's , to the modern day billionaires-Bill Gates' & Microsoft, who are those that stopped at nothing to get their "castle". 


Here are few clothing samples off their site, its a nice urban/hipster line. I myself, have a few pieces from their winter collection. They are reasonably priced for being a urban couture brand. So check out their site.

The Brand- Drink Fuze

Fuze which is pronounced Fy-ooz is a non-carbonated nutrient enriched fruit drink, bottled by Coca-Cola.  It was first launched in 2001 by Lance Collins and Paula Grant in Northern California. Coca Cola bought the beverage in 2007 and began placing the product in Subway Food chain in 2009. Fuze beverages are marketed as natural health products and are fortified with a variety of vitamins, antioxidants and electrolytes, which are usually considered to be a factor in the maintenance of good health. Fuze beverages are labelled as Enhanced Real Fruit Beverage(s) and contain a mix of concentrated fruit juices and fruit purees in addition to other ingredients. 
Im currently one of the marketing team members for this product in South Florida. Our goal is further expand this product here in the South East market, since it was recently introduced in South Florida stores and is has slowly created a buzz. So i thought this was a perfect unseen beverage brand. This is a great drink and i strongly recommend it as a mixer for some alcoholic beverages (like piña colada). Its a drink that you would have to relax and not worry about sugar or calorie count. 


So go to your local supermarket, gas station, or anywhere that sell Coca-Cola. They sell for about $1.65 to $1.80

Jhene Aiko ...

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the japanese, spanish Pop/R&B singer/songwriter Jhene Aiko is known for a her soft, skillful tone with a strong fan following. She was once affiliated with former R&B group Immature & B2Kin the late 1990's and early 2000's. She was recently signed to No I.D's record label Artium which is distributed through Def Jam Recordings. She has to be one of my favorite R&B artist out right now. Her vibe in her music is very relaxing but yet meaningful and peaceful. She released a mixtape on March 16, 2011 entitled Sailing Souls, she also has a snippet of a song called 3:16 which is a promotional single to get fans excited.
She is the one to start bringing soulful R&B back to its prime.

Chiddy Bang..

The first artist is Chiddy Bang, from Pennsylvania. They are an alternative hip hop band that consists of "Chiddy" Anaege and Noah "Xaphoon Jones" Beresin. The duo was introduced in late 2008 during their freshman year at Drexel University. Their sound is a blend of alternative (using samples from artist Ellie Goulding, Radiohead, Passion Pit, and MGMT) and hip hop. In 2010 they were signed to Parlophone/EMI with plans to release an album within the coming year. According to president Miles Leonard of Parlophone the had been listening to the song "Opposite of Adults" which off of Chiddy Bang's mini- mixtape called The Swelly Express, all summer , so they decided to do something with it and sign the duo. The album was released in Februrary 2012 titled Breakfast and can be purchased on iTunes and Google Music. 

Their music is different and enjoyable as oppose to some hard core hip hop. I first heard of Chiddy Bang through another artist, who featured them on their own debut album. I have a few favorites off their debut album that are in my most played list in my iTunes.

My name is Melissa, I’m a Public Relations student who has been around music my whole life. I’m currently an artist manager and brand-marketing manager in the South Florida market. I deal with a lot of unsigned music artist, clothing brands, and beverage brands. So this is a blog, welcoming you to a world of artists who have great talents but go unseen in the music industry, along with a few unseen clothing and beverage brands. They may not necessarily be unsigned, though a couple are, its just my review of great music, clothing, and brands.
